Office Information

One of the major things that set us apart from other offices is the genuine care we provide for each and every vaginismus patient. From the time of inquiry, through the scheduling, treatment and continuation of care well past treatment, every patient is treated with respect, dignity and caring. We consider every patient to be a part of our extended family and we are in touch for years after treatment.

All of us are fully aware of how women with vaginismus get shunted from therapist to therapist and from office to office. We feel the agony and the frustrations of our patients when they spend years trying to figure out why they are unable to have comfortable and pleasurable intercourse. We feel the desperation as couples are anxiously trying to conceive while at the same time the fabric of the relationship is unraveling. We know the frustration of not having a name for this condition and are fully aware that most of our patients have diagnosed themselves.

We feel the desperation as couples are anxiously trying to conceive while at the same time the fabric of the relationship is unraveling. Everyone on staff is well versed in the support and treatment of our vaginismus patients. Every member of our staff lives and breathes the lives of our vaginismus patients on a daily basis.

When Sex Seems Impossible . . . Stories of Vaginismus and How You Can Achieve Intimacy by Peter T. Pacik, MD, FACS

book-cover_l“When Sex Seems Impossible…” was written for my vaginismus patients to help remove the veil of secrecy that surrounds vaginismus and to help make vaginismus a more well known concept. The book provides detailed information about vaginismus, how the diagnosis is made, treatment options and aftercare. It is a “must read” for any woman with vaginismus and is also helpful for partners, husbands and parents so they too can better understand this frustrating and devastating condition. Often women do not feel comfortable discussing vaginismus. By having your friends or loved ones read the book, no discussion or explanation is needed. It is all in the book. The book is self-explanatory and every woman with vaginismus is represented by the stories of other sufferers.
