Upcoming Retirement for Dr. Pacik from Botox Treatment for Vaginismus

Upcoming Retirement for Dr. Pacik from
Botox Treatment for Vaginismus

Vaginismus CureFor those who did not get my recent VaginismusMD newsletter, I wanted to share with you my upcoming retirement during the summer of 2015.

Vaginismus treatementI have had many wonderful chapters in the 50 years since graduating medical school. One of my best chapters has been my involvement with the many courageous women who will go to any length to overcome their vaginismus. In a recently published scientific article, I was able to show that the average woman with vaginismus has had more than five treatments over a span of more than seven years. More than 40 patients have struggled with vaginismus for more than 15 years! This is not acceptable in this day and age of advanced medical care and speaks to the continued lack of training in this field. Vaginismus is still not taught in medical school, residency training (even GYN) and during medical meetings. Clinicians who are able to make the diagnosis still do not stratify the severity of the condition. Vaginismus is both a physical affliction and an emotional issue due to the severe pain and anxiety with attempted penetration. Both need to be treated. My biggest concern about retiring is the many women who will continue to struggle to get adequate treatment (or even the correct diagnosis) to overcome an issue that undermines feelings of self worth as a woman and is destructive to relationships.

Botox treatment for VaginismusFor those who feel they want to be treated before I retire, it would be imperative to fill out the VaginismusMD contact form and request the Patient Information Form and a Female Sexual Function Index Form. The diagnosis of vaginismus is made by history and this is the reason I need to review these forms. Once these forms are completed and returned to me, I will evaluate them and contact you via email with my opinion and my recommendations. You will then be given the opportunity for a complimentary phone call or Skye conversation with me personally. All my patients have my personal contact information and are able to communicate with me before and after retirement.

vaginismus treatment with Botox and vaginal dilatorsFor those who cannot afford our Botox Treatment Program for vaginismus but are able to use small dilators but unable to advance to intercourse or larger dilators, I would suggest calling my office and ordering a set of dilators (Pacik Glass Dilators), the Ins and Outs of Dilating DVD that explains the dilation process and my book When Sex Seems Impossible. Stories of vaginismus & how you can achieve intimacy“. The book is also available through Amazon.com in both paperback and as a Kindle edition.

It has been one of the great joys in both my life and my career to witness the progress my patients have made in overcoming vaginismus. It is a wonderful feeling knowing that the Botox Treatment for vaginismus has helped so many women achieve their goal of overcoming painful sex, feeling like a complete woman and having children. There is so much to be grateful for.

Pacik Glass Dilators
